Beneficiaries of NYEP commend government

Hohoe, July 1, GNA – Scores of beneficiaries under the National Youth Employment Programme in the Hohoe Municipality have expressed gratitude to President John A. Kufuor for being a listening president and his personal efforts to address unemployment in the country. In an interview with the GNA, they commended government for fashioning collaboration between the ministries of Finance and Economic Planning, and Manpower, Youth and Employment and NYEP, that had made it possible for arrears to be paid through the Agricultural Development Bank across the country.

Mr Hayford Kugblenu, Hohoe Municipal Coordinator of the National Youth Employment Programme, said allowances for April and May are being paid.

He said four modules were currently being pursued in the municipality and these are waste and sanitation, environmental health, teaching assistant and health extension. 01 July 08
