Interruption in electricity to Sekondi-Takoradi

Accra, June 16, GNA – The Volta River Authority (VRA) on Monday announced that due to the malfunctioning of one of its two transformers in the Sekondi-Takoradi, the Authority has had to reduce electricity supply at the Takoradi sub-station.

A statement signed by Ms. Abla Fiadjoe, Acting Director of Corporate Services, said this would result in some parts of the metropolis experiencing power outages, especially during the peak period from 1800-2200 hours.

“VRA wishes to assure its customers that its maintenance team is making strenuous efforts to repair the faulty transformer and restore regular supply as soon as possible,” it said.
