Man in custody for defiling six-year pupil

Kete-Krachi, May 21, GNA – Saidiru Mohamed, alias Sowa Niini, a 39-year-old labourer has been remanded in prison custody by the Krachi Magistrate Court for allegedly defiling a six-year old Kindergarten pupil.

Saidiru’s plea was not taken and would reappear on June 12, this year.

Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Ben Terkpetey told the Court presided over by Mr Frank Ashitey Addo that, Siadiru who lived in same area with the victim, lured her into his room on April 12 this year, where he inserted his finger into her private part and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about it. He said the victim fell ill a week later and was admitted at the Kete-Krachi District Hospital for discharging blood. ASP Terkpetey said when the girl was questioned, she mentioned Saidiru as the culprit leading to his arrest. He said Saidiru confessed the crime and blamed it on the work of the devil.
