Kofi Jumah re-elected Parliamentary Candidate for Asokwa

Kumasi, May 15, GNA – Mr. Maxwell Kofi Jumah, the NPP Member of Parliament for Asokwa, has been re-elected to contest for the parliamentary seat in the December election.

Mr. Jumah had 63 votes, Mr. Kwasi Boakye Baafi, Chief Executive Officer of Nkosuo Fm Station in Kumasi, got 24 votes and Madam Emelia Ampomaa, a teacher at Mbrom, had no votes.

Mr. Robert Owusu Amankwaah, Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, commended the delegates for their comportment and urged them to fight to ensure victory for the party in the December election.

Mr. Jumah, who is also the Deputy Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Environment, expressed gratitude to the delegates for re-electing him and appealed to them to rally behind him to enable the party to retain the seat.

His challengers also congratulated him for his success and pledged their support for him.
