Accra, May 13, GNA – The High Court and Supreme Court have confirmed Nii Okaidja III as the Gbese Mantse and he will therefore perform all the rites and rituals leading to the Homowo Festival.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Ga Traditional Council signed by Mrs Bernice Bempong, Assistant Regional Registrar. The statement addressed to the police, media houses and general public was copied to the IGP, Chairman of the National Security Council and Chairman of the Regional Security Council.
“This information is intended to bring about certainty to all the aforementioned authorities and bodies to ensure that peace and goodwill prevail during the Homowo Festivities,” it said. In a separate statement, the Ga Traditional Council said Nii Tettey Quaye II was the Ga Dzasetse.
