Freddie Blay Violates CPP Constittuion

The Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP) has learnt that on Wednesday 7th May 2008, at an NPP rally in Aiyinase in the Western Region, the CPP Member of Parliament for Ellembelle and First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Freddie Blay, is reputed to have declared support for the Honourable Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, MP, and Presidential Candidate of the NPP.

This unacceptable behaviour, if confirmed, is a breach of Article 77 of the CPP Constitution and a flagrant violation of party discipline.

Investigations are underway, pending disciplinary proceedings.

For the avoidance of doubt, the CPP wishes all Ghanaians to be aware that it shall NOT be entering into any alliance with either the NDC or NPP prior to the forecoming elections in December.

Thank you.
