Atwima-Mponua MP re-elected

Kuffour-Camp (Ash), May 7, GNA – Mr. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, the Member of Parliament for Atwima-Mponua, was on Tuesday re-elected as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for the constituency. He polled 138 out of the 158 total ballots cast at the election conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC) at Kuffour Camp. The other contestants were Mr. Charles Yeboah, former Atwima District Chief Executive, Mr. Akwasi Dante Afriyie former MP of the Constituency and Mr. Akwasi Badu, a Kumasi based legal practitioner. Mr. Yeboah had 11 votes, Mr. Afriyie had seven votes with Mr. Badu polling one vote.

Mr. Asiamah thanked the delegates and called for their support and cooperation to ensure massive victory in the December general election.
