New Tafo Govt Hospital to have a new theatre

New Tafo (E/R), May 05, GNA – Osabarima Adusei Peasah, Chief of Tafo at the weekend cut the sod for the construction of a new theatre for the New Tafo Government Hospital. The 79,000 US dollar theatre, when completed, would provide more rooms, including a changing room, anaesthetic office and recovery ward. Funding for the project would be provided by the Japanese Government while the Ministry of Health would provide the necessary equipment to help raise the level of the hospital to a District Hospital status.

Dr V. W. K. Abotchie, Medical Officer in-charge of the hospital, thanked the chiefs and elders of Tafo, and the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North for sourcing funds for the construction of the theatre. He appealed for the provision of an Ambulance for the hospital. 05 May 08
