Cabinet expresses shock over Rawlings’ accident

Cabinet has expressed shock at the fatal motor accident involving the convoy of President Jerry Rawlings in which four of his bodyguards lost their lives.

In a letter to the Secretary to the President, cabinet expressed its sympathies to the president and the first lady who escaped with slight injuries when the accident occurred on the Tema Motorway on October 29.

The letter signed by Mr J.K. Bebaako-Mensah, Secretary to the Cabinet, also expressed its condolences to the families of the four bodyguards and wished those who were injured a speedy recovery. A driver his mate have been arrested in connection with the accident.
