Thai Princess Sirindhorn departs

Accra, April 25, GNA – Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn left Accra on Friday for home after participating in the 12th United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) meeting.

At the airport to see off Princess Sirindhorn were Ministers of State, senior government officials and members of the Diplomatic Corps. Several Heads of State, including President Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone, President Tarja Halonen of Finland, President Lula da Silva of Brazil as well as the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon participated in the meeting.

An estimated 4,500 delegates attended the conference which ends on Friday.
