NCCE outlines activities for 8th Constitution Week celebrations

Accra, April 23, GNA – The National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE) on Tuesday launched the national programme to mark this year’s 8th Annual National Constitution Week Celebrations.

According to Mr Kwaku Baah Owusu, Director of Public Education (NCCE), the celebration on the theme: “The Sovereign Will of the People and Election 2008” would be from April 27 to May 4. He said on Sunday, April 27, there would be a National Constitution Game Competition featuring regional Senior High School (SHS) champions who would converge at Achimota School in Accra for the contest.

This would be followed by a main lecture on the theme and presentation of Awards to members of Civic Education Clubs on April 28 and a public forum on “Tolerance for Peaceful Elections 2008” on April 29.

Mr Owusu said a forum for the security services on the theme was scheduled for May 2.
