Presbytery discusses health related issues

Akim Awisa (E/R), April 18, GNA – Rev. Emmanuel Yaw Adjei, Chairman of the West Akim Presbytery (WAP) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has appealed to the Ghanaian public to get involved in the promotion of Primary Health Care. Rev Adjei said this at the presbytery’s 13th anniversary at Akim Oda.

He said the development of every nation largely depended on the health status of the citizenry. “I want to add my voice to the numerous calls made to help change the attitude of our general lifestyles.” Rev Adjei appealed to churches, district assemblies, traditional authorities and non-governmental organisations to embark upon education and awareness campaigns.

He said the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) was good and appealed to people to register massively for the scheme.
