Chief calls for extension of electricity to his community

Adobewura (Ash), April 16, GNA – The Chiefs and people of Adobewura in the Atwima Mponua District of Ashanti have appealed to government and the District Assembly to extend electricity to the town and neighbouring communities. Nana Boa Amponsem, Chief of the town, also requested for a market place to boost commercial activities in the area. He made the appeal when Mr. Wilberforce Owusu-Ansah, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima-Mponua paid a familiarization visit to the community.

The Chief appealed for the rehabilitation of the Junior High School block in the town and also the fixing of Amangoase-Adobewura stretch of road, which he said was in a very bad shape. Mr Owusu-Ansah reassured the chief that Adobewura would soon be connected to the national grid as requested, adding that low tension poles had already been purchased for the project.
