Abuga Pele wins NDC Chiana/Paga constituency primary

Paga (U/R), April 14, GNA – Mr. Abuga Pele, Member of Parliament for the Chiana/Paga, has been given another mandate by delegates to contest the parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Mr. Pele polled 133 votes to beat his arc rival, Mr. Rudolf Amenga E’tego, an assemblyman and a former employee of the Social Integrated Development Centre (ISODEC), who polled 104 votes.

Mr. Pele thanked the delegates and advised them to “dissolve camps immediately” and join hands to defeat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December polls. Mr. Amenga E’tego congratulated Mr. Pele for the victory and gave the assurance that he would give all the necessary support to enable him retain the seat and for the NDC to return to power in December.
