Ex-NCCE boss eyes Jaman South seat

Drobo (B/A) April 4, GNA – Mr. Peter Kwabena Ankomah, former Techiman Municipal Director of the National Commission for Civic Education, has declared his intention to contest the Jaman South Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress. Mr. Ankomah, 57, who voluntarily retired from the NCCE, would contest the party’s primary in the constituency with Mr. Ahmed Shams who contested the seat in the 2004 general election. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Drobo, Mr. Ankomah expressed the optimism that he would win the primary and capture the constituency seat from the New Patriotic Party. Ms Anna Nyamekye, Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture, is the New Patriotic Party MP for the area.
