70 million cedi Library Complex inaugurated at Abura Obokor

Abura Obokor (C/R), Aug. 28, GNA – The people of Abura Obokor in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District with sponsorship from Plan Ghana have constructed a 70 million cedis Complex for the local Seventh Day Adventist Primary and Junior Secondary Schools.

Inaugurating it at a ceremony at Abura Obokor on Friday, the Mankessim Programme Area Manager of Plan Ghana, Mr. Jacob Turkson said Plan Ghana had instituted a programme to provide items including furniture, teaching and learning materials to compliment government efforts at ensuring quality education in the rural areas.

Mr. Turkson said Plan Ghana had within a few years spent a substantial amount of funds on some development projects in the area to help improve the living standards of the people.

He advised parents to allow their children to patronize the facility to enable it achieve the objective for which it was established.

The head teacher, Mr. Emmanuel Appiah commended the Deacon of the local SDA Church, Mr. John Morrison for establishing the school. He appealed to the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District Assembly to provide the school with potable water and also extend electricity there to enable the children to study in the evening.
