A seven month old foetus has been dumped in a gutter at Osu, a suburb of Accra Wednesday morning.
Baffled residents in the area reported the case to the Osu Police station after discovering the foetus in the gutter.
Investigations have started to find out who dumped the foetus in the gutter.
Meanwhile, statistics from management of the Eastern Regional Hospital has revealed that the facility recorded over 1,150 abortion cases last year.
Out of the number, 570 were through comprehensive abortion, with 370 and 210 being spontaneous and induced abortions respectively.
