Tarkwa (W/R) May 4 -GNA-John Amoley alias “Abobey” a 53-year-old labourer has been sentenced to 19 years imprisonment for defiling a 14-year-old girl by a Tarkwa Circuit Court, presided over by Mr. John Ajet Nasam.
He was sentenced on his own plea.
Amoley, who works at St. Edwards Clinic, Bogoso broke into tears when the sentenced was passed confessing, “I did not even discharge”. Prosecuting, Inspector Florence Tawiah of Tarkwa Police said on April 14 this year the witness in the case, also an employee of the same clinic went to visit the victim who resides close to the clinic at Bogoso.
On entering the room, she saw Amoley having sex with the girl on the floor and she informed the victim’s mother who in turn reported the case to the Police. The victim was issued with a medical report to attend hospital for examination and the accused was arrested. 04 May 06
