49 migrants repatriated to Ghana

A group of 49 migrants was repatriated to Ghana today after travel documents were issued by the African country.

The migrants were flown back to Accra on a chartered Air Malta flight, with security officers outnumbering the migrants two to one.

The flight was paid for by the EU in terms of the Immigration Pact. A total of 270 migrants have so far been repatriated to various countries so far this year.
