440 doctors to be posted

A total of four hundred and forty (440) medical doctors are due for postings to various health facilities across the country, Public Relations Officer of the Health Ministry, Tony Goodman has revealed.

According Mr Goodman, who disclosed this in an interview with ClassFMonline.com, the ministry has received financial clearance for the officers, who completed their house job in 2015 and 2016, and have permanently registered with the Medical and Dental Council.

According to him, these officers are expected to obtain a recruitment form from any of the appointing agencies of their choice across the country.

The 2016 medical officers’ recruitment quota for the various agencies is as follows:

Ghana Health Service – 238

Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital – 38

Christian Health Ass. of Ghana – 86

Cape Coast Teaching Hospital – 20

Tamale Teaching Hospital – 29

Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital – 20

Police Hospital – 3

Mental Health Authority – 2

Centre for Clinical Genetics – 1

Centre for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine – 1

Univ.of Cape Coast Hospital – 2
