42-year foodstuffs dealer dies in lorry accident

Nyinahin (Ash), Jan. 14, GNA – A-42-year old foodstuffs dealer, Abena Ampofowaa, died on the spot at Kwame Dwaa in the Atwima Mponua District in an accident at the weekend. The accident occurred when the driver of a cargo truck with registration number NR 10915 loaded with foodstuffs belonging to the deceased from Kwapong in the Brong-Ahafo to Tema in Accra, lost control of the steering wheel. Sergeant Stephen Darko, in charge of the Nyinahin Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the driver of the vehicle lost control running into a bridge which resulted in the death of the woman. He said the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Bibiani Government Hospital for autopsy. 14 Jan. 09
