36-member development council inaugurated at Senya Beraku

A thirty-six member council of elders, headed by Neenyi Kojo Omano II, has been inaugurated at Senya Beraku in the Central region to lead in the total development of the town.

The council is made up of representatives of the two Asafo No. 1 and 2 Companies, heads of families, traditional priests and priestesses, Anona and Twiden royal families, Krobonshie, Bonsueku, Kolo Ayisa, Gyaakow, Kyenkyeso, Ndadeto/Anochhie Communities.

Others are the chief fisherman in the locality, youth groups, local council of churches and Muslims, chiefs and assembly members.

Reverend George K. Danso-Ansah, Senya Beraku branch of Bream Pentecostal Church International, who inaugurated the council, urged the executives to put aside their personal ambitions and work hard to enable them achieve their aims and objectives.

Rev Danso-Ansah, who is also the General Secretary to the Senya Beraku Local Council of Churches, appealed to the executives to maintain cordial relationships with the entire members.

Neenyi Omano II, Chairman of the Council on behalf of the members assured the citizenry of their commitment to work hard to promote peace, development and social justice.

He called on the people of the area to help the council with practical suggestions and ideas that could help the speedy development of the area.

Other executives of the council are, Mr Kwesi Esserku and Mr Ato Egyan Doughan, Secretary and Assistant Secretary respectively.
