“31st December Women’s Movement Has Raised Image Of Women” – Organiser

Asutsuare (G/A), Sept. 3, The government has lifted the image of women through systematic training organised by the National Commission on Women and Development (NCWD) and the 31st December Women’s Movement (DWM). Miss Rosemond Kabutey, the district organiser of NCWD in the Dangme West District of the Greater Accra Region, expressed this view at Asutsuare to day. She told village, unit and zonal branch members of the DWM at Asutsuare that rural women should seize existing opportunities to improve upon their living standards. She regretted, however, that in spite of the training imparted to some members of the two women’s movements, most of them had failed to utilise their skills to advantage. She urged women to embrace bee-keeping, vocational and other skills being organised to improve their skills and to utilise them for the good of the nation and themselves.
