A ghastly road accident that occurred at Kyinaase near Komenda in the Central region Thursday morning killed three female passengers on the spot.Several others also got injured and are in a critical condition. They have been rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
A tyre of the vehicle exploded causing it to skid off the road.
It hit some trees in the process, and had its rear side dismembered. Women in the town amassed around the deceased at the accident scene wailing.
The vehicle was on its way to Takoradi, the Western regional capital when the accident occurred about 50 metres from the Komenda junction.According to an eyewitness, Police, fire and ambulance personnel rushed to the scene to attend to the situation.
