3 NPP MPs bribed in Ashanti Region – Executives allege

Some Bantama constituency executives of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region are alleging that, some three legislators from the region have been bribed to work against the party and its presidential candidate in the December 7 polls.

They indicate that the three unnamed Members of Parliament (MPs) reportedly received huge sums of money from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to thwart the victory efforts of the party serving notice they will know no peace if it turns out to be true.

The executives have therefore justified their decision to bring two masked fetish priestesses to the constituency office from Ashanti Bekwai to invoke curses on the said corrupt legislators maintaining that river deities in the region should ruthlessly deal with them.

According to them, anyone including the flagbearer himself, his wife and children who are working contrary to the party’s victory must be severely dealt with.

“The gods and deities should severely deal with anyone including the EC Boss Madam Charlotte Osei if there are plans to compromise the polls in favour of one candidate”, they threatened.

It would be recalled that two women on Thursday believed to be specialists in invoking curses in the region according to the Isaac Justice Bediako, were invited to the Bantama Constituency office of the party from Asante Bekwai at the instance of some executives.

The women who were given crates of local eggs and boxes of schnapps called the wrath of a number of river deities on any person who may compromise the credibility of the elections including the flagbearer of the party, his wife and kids.
