3 DCEs sworn into office in VR

Three new District Chief Executives (DCEs) in the Volta Region were on Monday sworn into office in Ho.

Mr Solomon Kuyon for Krachi-Nchumuru District Assembly, Mr Samuel Ewode, Ho-West District Assembly, and Mrs Angela Alorwu Tay, Afadjato-South District Assembly took the oath of office, allegiance and secrecy.

Mr Henry Ford Kamel, Volta Regional Minister, reminded the DCEs that they were servants and not lords over the people, and cautioned them that “power is sweet but don’t allow it to rule you”.

He asked the new DCEs to be fair and courteous to everybody and reciprocate the trust the President reposed in them.

Mr Henry Ametepe, Deputy Volta Regional Minister, advised the new DCEs to operate an open door policy, be transparent to win the trust of the people and to work towards the development of their districts.

Mrs Tay on behalf of the other DCEs praised the President for giving them the chance to serve their people, and promised that they would justify the confidence reposed in them.
