3 children drown in E/R

Three children have drowned in a well being used for irrigation purposes in the Akuapem North municipality of the Eastern region.

The children – Stephen Kwadwo Baah 6, Adam Addo 4, and Kwadwo Offei 6 – went missing on Friday and were later found to have drowned in the well at Nyamebekyere, a farming community.

Their bodies have since been recovered and deposited at the Koforidua Government Hospital.

A fourth child Michael survived and is receiving treatment at the Koforidua hospital.

Meanwhile, the Eastern regional Police command has commenced investigations into the incident.
