250 million cedis’ sanitary facility at Aperade inaugurated

Akim Aperade, Nov 07, GNA – The Chiefs and people of Akyem Aperade in the Birim North District on Monday climaxed their weeklong annual Kwakwaduam festival with the inauguration of a 250 million cedis’ 16-seat sanitary facility in the town.

Coppon Wood Processing at Akim Oda provided the facility as part of its social responsibilities to the community. Speaking at the ceremony Nana Owusu Twum Barimah, the Chief of Akyem Aperade, called on his people to maintain the present peaceful atmosphere in the town to enhance development. He urged them to participate in self-help projects being embarked upon in the area since the government alone cannot meet their socio economic needs.

Nana Twum Barimah called for efforts from all to fight the deadly HIV/AIDS and advised the people to register as members of the District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme.
