The Northern Regional Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh says 25 students of the Walewale SHS have been arrested after they went on rampage vandalizing school properties.

ASP Ebenezer Tetteh told XYZ News that two females are among the students arrested on Monday.

The students, according to ASP Tetteh, stole 83 laptops, ransacked the Headmasters bungalow, set it ablaze and attempted to burn a Police vehicle.

The students, he added, have been transferred to the regional Police headquarters and would be arraigned before court immediately after investigations are completed.

Meanwhile, authorities have closed down the Walewale Senior High School indefinitely after the riots broke out. The students started rioting after the Police arrested two of their colleagues on Sunday.
