24 farmers receive awards in Asante-Akim South

Wenchi (Ash), Dec 2, GNA – The Asante-Akim South has rewarded 24 farmers for their immense contributions to the development of agriculture and promotion of food security.

They each received a knapsack sprayer, Wellington boots, radio cassette recorder, cutlasses and certificate of honour.

Mr Samuel Nyarko, 61, who emerged the overall district best farmer, had a 21-inch coloured television and bicycle added to his items.
