22 dead as vehicle rams into stationary truck in Bogoso

Twenty two people are feared dead and one said to be in critical condition after a Sprinter bus carrying 23 passengers rammed into a stationary articulated truck conveying bags of cement to Bogoso.

The incident occurred at Subriso Amenfi in the Wassa Akropong district of the Western region.

Residents claim the stationary articulated truck has been parked at the shoulder of the road where the incident occurred for close to a week now after it
developed a mechanical fault.

The injured person is reportedly receiving treatment at the Dunkwa hospital while the remains of the deceased persons have been deposited at the morgue of the same hospital pending autopsy.
