Three-time flagbearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is unstoppable, one of the party’s Members of Parliament Henry Kwabena Kokofu has told Ultimate Breakfast Show host Prince Minkah.
“Ghanaians are just lacing their boots so they can vote out John Mahama and his NDC Government so they can bring in Nana Addo Dakwa Akufo-Addo.
“No amount of pull-him-down, no amount of breaking will stop this because Ghanaians want a change,” Mr Kokofu said Monday.
According to the Bantama MP, the former Attorney General’s dream of ascending the presidency will become a reality in 2016, since Ghanaians see a saviour in him.
“The NPP has been consistent and persistent in our thinking that Nana Addo can provide a better leadership,” Mr Kokofu said.
“People are saying: ‘Nana y3 hia wo’, to wit: ‘Nana we need you’. People are saying let us also give Nana Addo a chance’”, he remarked.
In his opinion, “Nana Addo had single-handedly restored the confidence and hope in the average Ghanaian”, and was thus hopeful that Mr Akufo-Addo will be third-time lucky at his shot at the presidency after failing two previous times against John Atta Mills (late) and President John Mahama in 2008 and 2012, respectively.
