2015 holds good for Ghana – MCE

Mr Opoku Boakye–Yiadom, Berekum Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has assured Ghanaians to expect greater progress and development in the year 2015.

He said given the current economic indicators, such as reduction in oil prices, stabilization of the cedi, and other government interventions under way, the future looks very bright for the nation.

Mr. Boakye–Yiadom gave the assurance in an interaction with the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani.

He urged Ghanaians to unite and work hard in their various fields of endeavour, to ensure progress and prosperity.

The MCE said if students learned hard at school and parents performed their responsibilities effectively while workers worked with total commitment and the government met its obligation to the citizenry, there was no way the nation could fail to progress onto prosperity.

He urged the people to pray fervently for the leadership of the nation, to enable them obtain divine direction to prosecute the national development agenda effectively.

Mr Boakye-Yiadom asked Ghanaians to be thankful to God always for the prevailing peace and tranquility, which are essential for nation-building and called for concerted efforts to preserve them.
