2 arrested in K’si for using fake GHAMRO, ARSOG receipts

Two middle aged men have been apprehended by a combine team of GHAMRO officials and Oforikrom police for allegedly extorting monies from unsuspecting music users in Kumasi and its environs, whom they issued with false receipts until they (suspects) were busted.

Further investigations by the Oforikrom police revealed that the two in collaboration with others have collected various sums of money from music users from areas including Fumasua, Ejisu, Suame, Banso, Airport Round About, Buorkrom Estate.

Upon interrogation, the culprit named the regional representative of Audiovisual Rights Society (ARSOG), Mr. James Aboagye as the officer they were working for.

The police have retrieved receipts titled ‘GHAMRO MONITORS and ARSOG receipts used by the suspects.

Kasapafmonline.com’s further checks at the ARSOG office show that a consignment of official receipt uncovered by Oforikrom police are not genuine receipts.
