Sankofa Radio is a registered private online radio station that has served the Afro-Ghanaian community in the Washington DC area and around the globe since 2008.
Sankofa Radio in collaboration with Okyeman Kuo of Virginia and Abrempong Elite Gentleman’s Association is proudly presents 1st annual “Sankofa Radio” Summerfest 2013. The event will be held at Joseph Hensley Park located at 4200 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria Virginia 22304 on Saturday June 29th, 2013 from 10am to 7pm. There are several family friendly activities lined up such as free Health screenings, Games, African Cultural Dance, DJ Competition, Live Musical Performances and many more. There will be free food and several vendors onsite promoting their products and services. This event will also provide a platform for Africans in the Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC area to network and catch up with old school mates, friends and family. The event is carefully structured to showcase the best of African culture to the community. Some of the important guests expected to grace this occasion are Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, Agya Koo, Kyeiwaa, Vivian Jill and Nana NYC.
