1999 is a challenging year-says Rev. Ekuban

Sekondi, (Western Region) 4 Jan. ’99,

The Reverend Charles Ekuban, Superintendent Minister of the Wesley Methodist Church at Sekondi, has described 1999 as ”a year of challenges” and charged all Ghanaians, particularly those holding public office to demonstrate transparency and honesty to pave the way for development. Rev Ekuban delivering his first sermon for the year on the theme ”Isaac will come”, at Sekondi, urged those implementing the Value Added Tax to be transparent and to allow God to rule their hearts. The nation can only enjoy peace if its leaders surrender themselves to God and are ready to obey his laws, he said. Rev. Ekuban called for an end to rape, stealing and the importation of unwholesome drugs and food ”as the nation prepares to enter the 21st century”.
