1966 coup shattered Ghana’s dreams of greatness – Samia Nkrumah

The Daughter of the first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Samia Nkrumah says the dream of Ghana becoming a giant in the comity of nations was shattered by the 1966 coup.

She told Radio Ghana that the coup made Ghana lose its economic independence and that is why Ghana is today depending on the IMF and selling its national assets.

She called on Ghanaians to reflect on what the nation has lost and start thinking of rebuilding it based on the spirit of nationalism and patriotism.
