The Accra Regional Police Command last Wednesday rounded up 178 criminals at their various hideouts in the capital during a swoop.
The operation, which was led by the regional commander, ACP Mr. Timothy Yosa Bonga took place at Dansoman, Mamprobi and Amasaman.
Items seized from the suspected criminals included, two pump action guns, Military uniforms, bullets, cartridges, knives and substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
About 200 motorbikes were also seized from the suspects as it is alleged that, they use them for some activities like robbery. . According to the Public Relations Officer, ASP Afia Tenge, the 178 suspected criminals will be arraigned for identification and those found guilty will be processed for court.
