15 year old girl kidnapped for ten days and defiled

Cape Coast, Nov. 25, GNA – A circuit court in Cape Coast on Thursday remanded a 40-year-old mason, Kofi Karikari in prison custody for allegedly kidnapping and defiling a 15- year- old junior high school (JHS) student at Assin Praso

Karikari who pleaded not guilty would reappear on Thursday December 1, 2011.

Prosecuting, DSP Samuel Oduro Kwarteng-Addae, told the court presided over by Mrs. Florence Kai-Otoo that the victim, who lived with her aunty at Assin Dansame left home on October 17 this year.

The prosecutor said the aunty not knowing the whereabouts of the victim, made a complaint to one Madam Beatrice Akorli mother of the victim who lived at Akorakesie in the Central Region.

He said on October 27, the aunty had information that the victim was living with the accused at Assi’
