15-year-old boy drowns in River Ofi

A 15-year-old boy has drowned after getting into a difficulty while swimming with friends in River ofi at Barekuma in the Atwima Nwabiagya District of the Ashanti Region.

An eyewitness speaking to Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo said the Adankwame Police and some people in the community joined forces and had a difficult time retrieving the boys body.

Traditional rites had to be performed by the traditional leaders in the community to enable the body to surface.

The body has since been conveyed to the mortuary.
