A 14-year-old girl has allegedly beat her 13-year-old rival Faustina Korankye to death at Asamang in the Afigya Sekyere east district of Ashanti region.
A family source of the deceased says the two teenagers have been at each other’s throat for some time now over a man the two are dating.
“I don’t know what is wrong with the two young girls they have been fighting since last year, even last month the deceased was stabbed in a similar fight which nearly killed her” the family disclosed.
The source added that the fight that led to the death of the deceased (Maa Abena) started yesterday after the accused person spotted her rival with the young man they have been fighting over for a year.
“In that fight that killed the deceased the accused person punched where she stabbed last month when they fought. We rushed the deceased (Maa Abena) to Asamang government hospital for treatment but she died after arrival,” he narrated.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at Asamang Government Hospital Mortuary whiles the accused person, Faustina Korankye is in police custody to assist with investigations.
