11-man committee to review NPP constitution

The National Council of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set up an 11-member committee to review the proposals for the amendment of the party’s constitution.

According to the Acting General Secretary of the party, John Boadu, the mandate of the 11-member ad-hoc committee which is chaired by Vice Chairman of the party, F. F. Antoh, is to streamline all the proposals of the constitutional amendment and determine the substance and workability of the proposals received.

He further added that the committee is expected to finish its work within two months and present its report to the national council of the party for consideration and adoption.

Mr Boadu, speaking at a press conference at the party’s national headquarters in Accra on Thursday, 14 September 2017 to inaugurate the committee, expressed confidence in the committee to deliver on its mandate.
