Winneba(CR), March 20, GNA – The Kasoa District Police Command, has identified 11 accident prone areas along the Winneba-Kasoa-Accra road. They are Brigade, Galilea, Amanfrom, Potsin Junction, Budumburam and Gomoa Okyereko Junction. The rest are Adawuku, Bible College Area, Tipper Junction, Awutu Beraku and Gomoa Buduatta Junction. He stressed the need for stakeholders in the transport industry to collaborate with the District Police Command, Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) and to strategies to prevent accidents on the Accra-Cape Coast road.

DSP Jordan Quaye advised motorists who ply the Accra-Cape Coast road through Kasoa to be extra careful to avoid accidents. In another development, leadership of Winneba branch of Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) of GTUC has appealed to the Minister of Roads and Transport to install speed ramps on major roads, especially Accra-Kumasi and Accra-Winneba-Takoradi Highways.
