10 more SHSs ready – Mahama

Ten more of the 200 Community Senior High Schools promised by President John Mahama are ready and awaiting inauguration.

This brings the total number of completed model SHSs to 14. Four have already been inaugurated by the President.

Mr Mahama made the revelation when he appeared on TV3’s News Day programme on March 14, 2016.

He told Bridget Otoo that he had given orders to the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service to begin populating the 10 additional schools prior to their inauguration.

The already inaugurated ones were put up in Otuam in the Central Region, Nkwanta South in the Volta Region, Babiamkor, and Kwaobaah-Nyanoa in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern region.

Mr Mahama said 123 of the schools are so far at different levels of completion.
